Traquer le vivant follows a team of wildlife photographers and cinematographers as they embark on two parallel expeditions in every episode. Across vast and unpredictable landscapes, the two crews set out to locate wild animals and earn their trust by convincing them they pose no threat. The goal is to enter their world and capture never-before-seen moments of their everyday lives. Canada's boreal forests, tundra, rivers, and mountain ranges become investigative playgrounds where every clue matters, amid extreme conditions and the constant instinct for survival.

Before and throughout each expedition, viewers witness every stage of the process: meticulous planning, scouting missions with experienced guides, tracking and analyzing animal movements, and constantly adapting to ecosystems transformed by climate change. Patience, freezing temperatures, setbacks, and mistakes are all part of the journey. An adventure series where nature sets the rules and image is earned.
