Corps

Documentary series

Did you know that scientists once grafted monkey tissue onto the testicles of elderly men? That the small size of penises in ancient sculptures actually has an explanation? That in the past, a large nose was a sign of good leadership? That the entire surface of our skin is replaced every month? Or that female animals also have clitorises (and sometimes very large ones)?

Every part of the human (or animal) body is a unique marvel, a masterpiece of evolution designed to perform astonishing and essential functions. The documentary series CORPS dives into the fascinating world of each component of our anatomy, exploring it from every angle—its little-known functions, how it’s been perceived throughout history, the scientific breakthroughs it has inspired, its depiction in art over the centuries, the surprising facts surrounding it, and the myths and biases that still cling to it.
