

Groupe PVP is getting good news after good news! Indeed, the company just learned that two of its projects - the website Artisans du Changement and the series Terres d’échange - are both nominated at the Prix Gémeaux 2010.
The website Artisans du Changement (Sam DeChamplain) is nominated in the category Best website for a program or a series: Public affairs, documentary, magazine or sport.
The series Terres d’échange is nominated in four categories: Best documentary series, Best editing, public affairs, documentary (Jean-Guy Dupéré), Best direction, public affairs, documentary series (Mélanie Dion) and Best photo direction : public affairs, documentary all categories.
Congratulations to everyone who worked on those amazing projects!

In the last number of the French-speaking magazine Le Lundi, available on Thursday May 6th, the director Karina Marceau talks about the world tour she carried out while filming the TV series Professionnals Without Borders.

Our most recent production, the documentary movie Parkinson le fait danser, directed by Martine Breuillaud, will be presented at the Cinéma Gaieté Thursday May 6, at 17:30. A cocktail reception will take place at 17:00 on site.
The director and our partners from TFO and Canal Vie will be in Matane for the occasion. If you want to assist to the premiere, reserve your ticket (free cost) from next Saturday at the Cinéma Gaieté and from next Monday at our office during the open hours.

Michel Chartrand, then very weakened, had made it a point to assist to his friend’s funerals. These men knew quite well the famous unionist as they mixed with him throughout his long career. In the short documentary film Michel Chartrand, an intimate portrayal directed by Manuel Foglia, they discuss and remember events and important moments in the life of this man who influenced Quebec by his determination, anarchism and enthusiasm.

Groupe PVP is proud to announce the first screening of the documentary film Gulo Gulo… Rendez-vous avec le diable, on Monday February 1st, 9PM, on Télé-Québec. Directed by Michel Jacques, this documentary film follows two biologists committed to a quest to find the wolverine, also known as Gulo Gulo. During their journey, their research allows them to collect some memories from the native people, as well as old legends and furtive observations about this extremely rare animal found in the territory of Québec. Gulo Gulo… Rendez-vous avec le diable is most definitely a documentary you won’t want to miss!
In memory of M. Rémy Beauregard, fervent defender of civil rights, TFO is planning a special rerun of the « Humaniste sans frontières » episode, from the series Professionnels sans frontières, on Saturday January 16th, at 12AM and 7PM, as part of the Panorama program. The episode discusses M. Beauregard’s humanitarian work with child soldiers from Uganda.
They left everything behind, going where the wind took them, to begin a new life elsewhere. Desire for the unknown, work, political refuge, humanitarian work, love… A million stories for a million faces, all linked by a common desire to find new meaning in their lives somewhere else.
